California Dreaming All Day Long

I just got back from spending two weeks in California with some of my closest friends. I was so glad and fortunate to be able to leave the Florida humidity and explore more parts of California that I wasn't able to during school. I first went to my friend Brittney's house in San Diego and each of our days was FULLY booked. We went to the beach, surfed, tried a new coffee shop pretty much everyday, and ended our nights in the jacuzzi sippin' on some fine TruMoo chocolate milk. There's something about San Diego that really just puts me at peace. Maybe it's the calmness that the beach town vibe brings or the fact that everyday we were constantly surrounded by God's beautiful creation. Either way, I can't wait to go back hopefully sometime soon and also to work on my surfing skills that definitely need some help.

Here are some pics of me and Brittney living our best lives!!!

I had to give Pipes its very own section because I love it. When I went to San Diego about a year and a half ago, me and a couple friends stayed with people that lived up the street. So, almost everyday we walked down and got breakfast there and it is SO GOOD. Honestly, it might not even be that good but I've hyped it up so much for myself that I'm brainwashed into believing that it's the best breakfast food. Anyways, if you're ever in Cardiff area, make sure you check it out.

SOOOOO let me just tell you about our surfing experience. I've honestly always have wanted to learn how to surf for so long and I was so excited when coach Britt taught me her ways. Our first day was a bit of a pickle because first off, the whole region was sold out of Wavestorm surfboards. We drove to Costco and called ones all around but there were none. So, Britt took one for the team and used one of her Dad's hard top long boards while I used the other one that she was able to borrow from someone else. Once that was accomplished, we were loading the boards onto the top of her car, but then realized we needed a leash for the board that I was gonna use. It literally took us an extra 30 mins to try and take a leash off of another one. Eventually we gave up but Brittney found a free one in a drawer. We then headed out and when we arrived we didn't have enough quarters to park, but a really kind lady gave us about 2 dollars worth so we didn't have to risk getting a parking ticket. Once it finally seems like we are in the clear, I manage to get a HUGE splinter straight up my foot as we are running down to the beach. We then tried to get it out for about 15 mins before we got in the water. At this point, we were straight sweating in our wetsuits and the wax was melting off the boards. Despite my splinter, we went in and actually both did way better than expected. We both stood up a good amount of times and ended the day meeting up with some friends for dinner. That's why I had to include the picture with our feet in the air because it represents the splinter and all the issues we had that day, but we did end up with big smiles at the end of the day :)

After my time with Britt I went to stay with my friend Sarah in Mission Viejo. Honestly every time with Sarah and her family is a good time and she never fails to make me laugh- love you Sarasta!!!! We went on a lot of photoshoots and thankfully she let me borrow her clothes because I really brought nothing cute on this trip. Here are some pics from the shoots, but I think I'm gonna do a more in depth post about some summer outfits later. So here's a little sneak peak of some of that and just some fun pictures in general.

Someone please ship me back 2 months till school is just soooooo long! Also this post is so random but I hoped you enjoyed :)

Mags xoxo
