I usually am reminded by my mom that I wear neutral colors too much and that I should wear some brighter ones. Well mom, I guess this one is for you. And yes, I guess you're kinda right. Anyways, taking to my mother's advice, I have styled up some outfits with some bright colors. Sooooo here ya go!

Starting off not toooooo crazy I've paired a white J.Crew skirt with a top I found at Nordstrom Rack. Then, I also added my Henri Bendel bag to tie it all in. I really like this outfit because it can be casual if paired with sneakers or you can dress it up with a sandal. Also if you are hesitant to add those bright colors this is a good option because it is a soothing deep green but the extra shine adds a nice touch that's not too flashy but adds brightness to the look.

Again not too much color added here, but just by adding a bright accessory like a bag or even shoes you can lighten up your look in a simple way!

Another example of how to accessories with bright colors is what I did here with this striped romper from Urban Outfitters. It's hard to tell in the photos but it's striped with white and a light yellow which subtly does tie in with the headband I chose to brighten up the look with some color. Because the headband is SO bright with different colors, you kinda have to go with a lighter look so that the whole outfit isn't too flashy and overwhelming. But with the faint yellow stripes in the romper, it makes the look a little bit more fluid so that their isn't a big chop of color from white to bright pinks.

Here are some closer up details of the headband.

And finally, my brightest look of all lols, this pink puff sleeve dress from & Other Stories. I really like this dress because you can dress it up or dress it down with your shoe choice. I also love the small the floral design which I think is perfect for summer. I paired it with my pink Henri Bendel handbag which I think complements the dress very well. Because the dress has some white it in, adding a lighter pink bag isn't too overwhelming for the eye since the dress isn't completely pink. If you are looking to brighten up your wardrobe for summer, a bright colored dress is always a great option because it is simple and easy to pair with lots of different shoes. Especially in the summer, it's always good to have sundresses that you can slip on for whatever your plan are!
